Salt Spring National Art Prize 2019
Congratulations to the
2019/20 Salt Spring National Art Prize Finalists!
Artists were chosen from across Canada by an independent jury and all artist submissions were anonymous to the jury.
Drawing from every region across the country, SSNAP jurors have created an exhibition as inclusive, diverse and culturally rich as Canada itself. The courage it takes for artists to step forward and share their vision is commendable. When the three national jurists selected the 52 works from this diverse representation they do so solely from the image of the art and a short artist statement.
Founding director Ronald T. Crawford wishes to extend his gratitude, “I salute the amazing, diverse, and relevant artists whose work it has been my privilege to see. The third biennial SSNAP exhibition, opening September 21, 2019, exemplifies the best in current Canadian contemporary art.”
We look forward to celebrating the talent of Canadian artists and congratulations to the finalists by region;
